Vegan Breakfast Cooking Class

On March 26, a plant based breakfast/ brunch cooking class was held at the Lincoln Better Living Center as a follow up event to the Reversing Diabetes Seminar on March 12. The speaker was Kaya Teh, a Vegan Registered Dietician and Diabetes educator.  She offered demonstrations of recipes and gave great nutritional information about the ingredients she used in the recipe such as turmeric. Kaya gave explanations on how to replace eggs with flaxseed. There were recipes and handouts for the guests to take home after everyone got to sample the delicious recipes. Some comments from the audience-" Outstanding presentation!", "When is the next class, are we having lunch then?" About 40 were present, including 12 guests along  with one of Kaya's students from her class at Sierra College and a doctor from Kaiser.  Praise the Lord for an amazing day with good food and great information. Stay tuned, we are hoping to invite her back in June!
